Please be aware that due to recent government regulations the maximum number of people that can visit our site as part of a group, including children, is 6. You can only visit in your social bubble.

How many people can use the simulator?

Due to the current safety measures simulator sessions are for up to 2 adults. If you have additional children under the age of 16 please get in touch with us in advance and we will do our best to arrange that.

What can we do if we are more than 2 people for the simulator session?

We currently cannot allow more than two people per session, however we can allow young children under 5 that can sit on your lap. Otherwise, additional adults in your group can wait outside the simulator and at some point rotate with the people inside the simulator. Please note that this may take some time off your flying. Another option is to book two simulators.

What is the minimum age to use the simulator?

The minimum age to use our simulators is 9. Younger children are only able to observe a session from the back. Prams are not allowed inside the simulators area and if young children are loud, we may have to ask you to step outside.

I have not flown in a simulator before, will this be a problem?

No, it will not be a problem. No previous experience is required to use our simulators. Your session will be guided by one of our instructors who will teach you everything you need to know to use the basic controls of the simulator cockpit.

Can I book the simulators for a group or private event?

You can hire all four simulators for larger groups and private events such as corporate events and birthday parties. For prices and more information visit our Private Hire webpage.

Can I use the simulator on my own?

You are welcome to fly solo on our simulators. You will sit in the pilot’s seat and navigate the simulator and your instructor will guide you through the controls and can sit next to you as the co-pilot.

How accessible are the simulators?

Our simulators are accessible, and our team will do their best to assist and support you during your experience. There is an accessible lift to get to the simulators level and there is also an accessible toilet on the ground floor. Wheelchair users can be assisted to sit inside the cockpit. If you cannot or wish not to move from your wheelchair you must please let us know in advance and we can remove the pilot seat.

Why does my simulator ticket say plus 2 adult admission tickets?

Your simulator ticket may say that it includes 1 or 2 adult admission tickets. These are the tickets to enter the exhibition and everyone must have one. You can have more people with you in your session (up to 4), they will just need to purchase an admission ticket.

What is in the exhibition and how long wil I need to see it?
Do I need to print my ticket?

You don’t have to print your ticket. You can show it to our team on a mobile device. You just need to have your Order Reference number, which you should receive via email soon after you book your ticket. Please check your spam folder and if you haven’t received it within 24 hours let us know.

Can I reschedule my booking?

You can reschedule your ticket within 3 months of its original date as long as you let us know at least 48 hours in advance.

What if I'm late for my simulator session?

If you are late for your simulator session we will do our best to accommodate you on our next available simulator. Your session may need to move to a slot later in the day or be rescheduled for another date.

Can I cancel my booking and get a refund?

You cannot cancel your booking and receive a refund, however you can reschedule within 3 months at no extra cost if you let us know 48 hours in advance.

Can I purchase an open date simulator experience?

Yes, you can buy an open date simulator experience by purchasing one of our Gift Vouchers, which can be used to book a session within 6 months of purchase.

How do I redeem my Gift Voucher?

On our booking webpage, depending on the type of voucher you have, first select the type of session, either the Simulator Experience or the Ultimate Simulator Experience. Then select the type of simulator, and your time-slot.

Your Gift Voucher should have a 4-digit code. In the Checkout, you need to add this code where it says “DO YOU HAVE A VOUCHER CODE?”, and click Apply.

Note that the Voucher Code is different to the Order Reference number created when the Voucher was bought. You cannot redeem a voucher using its order reference number.

Until when can I redeem my Gift Voucher and book my session?

Gift Vouchers should state the date they are valid from. You need to redeem it within 6 months from that date.

What controls can I use in the simulators?

Our flight simulators are close match to that of the real devices. Below are the functioning controls and interactive displays that you can use during your session:

  • Side-stick / Yoke for navigation
  • Throttle control for engine speed
  • Rudder pedals for steering and breaks
  • Landing gear
  • Primary Flight Display (PFD)
  • Navigation Display
  • Engine Power Display
Does the Simulator move?

Our flight simulators are fixed based, they are not full motion simulators. Our simulators are for the general public as well as experienced users who wish to try them in a training environment.

What will take place during my simulator session?

During your simulator session your instructor will teach you all the main controls of the cockpit and the take-off procedure. You can select from multiple airport destinations and weather conditions and start practicing your take offs.

Pilots and co-pilots have different tasks and depending on where you sit in the cockpit you will focus on different controls.

While on the air you can practice your controls adjusting your speed, altitude and angle of the aircraft. You can also practice following the flight path.

Finally your instructor will guide you through the landing process. The simulator produces a score at the end so you can also see how well you have performed your landing.

Depending on how much time you have and how many people are in your group, you can rotate so that everyone gets to fly the simulator.

Can I use my time in the simulator towards my pilot training?

Our simulators are not valid for accredited flying time towards pilot training. The simulators are for the general public as well as experienced users who wish to hone their skills and help with their professional training.
